Eugène Ibig commenced his professional life as commercial executive in the petroleum industry. He subsequently decided to change his career, studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1981. Since 1983, he focuses his practice on international arbitration. He has thus appeared as counsel and acted as arbitrator in more than eighty international arbitrations in Switzerland and other West and East-European venues. His notable representations include a Swiss bank in a post-acquisition dispute and a coordinating entity in a multi-billion arbitration case opposing forty-four claimants to ninety-eight respondents.
