New Counsel: Sandra Lathion-Zweifel
We have the pleasure to announce that Sandra Lathion-Zweifel, previously section Head within the Asset Management division of FINMA, has joined Lenz & Staehelin's Banking and Finance group in Geneva as Counsel on 1st October 2018.
The competence and expertise of Sandra Lathion-Zweifel will enhance Lenz & Staehelin's recognized expertise in the field of Asset Management, in particular among Swiss and foreign managers of collective investment schemes.
Sandra Lathion-Zweifel holds a Master in law from the University of Zurich (lic. iur., 2002) and an LL.M. from Columbia Law School (2007). Before joining FINMA, she worked as an attorney within our Zurich office and as Head of the Financial Products Legal and Compliance Section at Crédit Suisse. Sandra Lathion-Zweifel was recently elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cantonal Bank of Valais.
The return of Sandra Lathion-Zweifel to Lenz & Staehelin is an important step in the further development of our specialized asset management team, at a time when the asset management industry is facing major challenges with the implementation of the Financial Services Act (FIDLEG) and the Financial Institutions Act (FINIG), and their implementing ordinances.
