New Partners and New Counsel 2020

We have pleasure in announcing that Alexander Greter and Peter Ling became Partners of the firm on 1 January 2020. At the same time Stephan Brandner and Hanno Wehland were appointed Counsel.

Alexander Greter advises banks, trustees, asset managers and other financial service providers and fiduciaries, as well as Swiss and foreign private clients. The emphasis of Alexander Greter’s practice is on regulatory matters, anti-money laundering, tax matters and the automatic exchange of information, as well as succession planning and wealth structuring by high net worth individuals and families in a national and international context.

Peter Ling’s practice is centered on intellectual property, unfair competition, licensing and life sciences matters. He has extensive experience in complex multinational IP and licensing disputes and arbitral proceedings, as well as in advising clients on contractual and regulatory issues related to IP, licensing and life sciences.

Stephan Brandner is an expert in domestic and international tax matters. He advises Swiss and foreign corporations and banks on matters relating to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing transactions, reorganizations and restructurings, as well as on the management of tax affairs and disputes before Swiss tax authorities. He also assists companies and corporations on VAT matters.

Hanno Wehland practices in the field of international arbitration, representing clients before arbitral tribunals and in arbitration-related proceedings before the Swiss courts. He has extensive experience in relation to commercial arbitrations arising from distribution, joint venture and cooperation agreements, among others, and he is particularly renowned as a specialist in the area of investment arbitration.
