ComCo accepts introduction oft new Debit MasterCard in Switzerland with Interchange

Following a preliminary investigation, the Secretariat of the ComCo has decided to accept the commitments proposed by MasterCard regarding the introduction of a domestic Interchange Fee for the new Debit MasterCard payment card.

MasterCard had notified its intention to introduce an Interchange Fee for its new product pursuant to Article 49a of the Swiss Cartel Act.
