This UIA Seminar “How to Effectively Resolve International Commercial Disputes through Mediation and Arbitration” is the first international seminar organised in Syria, jointly with the Syrian Bar Association.

The first day will be dedicated to Mediation with an interactive and practical approach. The second day will be dedicated to Arbitration through recent arbitration issues such as the drafting of arbitration clauses, arbitration in the public sector, interim measures, the role of State Courts when confronted with arbitration agreements.

Dr. Xavier Favre-Bulle will speak about “Interim Measures in Arbitration”.

This seminar will take place at the Cham Palace Damascus (Damascus City Centre), Maysaloun Street, 33555 Damascus, Syria from 31 March 14.00 hrs to 1 April 2010 18.00 hrs (a dinner will follow the seminar and starting at 20.30 hrs).
