On 15 December 2011, the Swiss Competition Commission (“ComCo”) announced that it had imposed a fine of CHF 12.5 millions against Nikon Ltd. (“Nikon”) for obstructing parallel imports to Switzerland.
On 16 November 2011, the Swiss Federal Council entrusted the Federal Department of Economy with the preparation of a message on the revision of the Swiss Cartel Act until the beginning of 2012. The revision project contains procedural and institutional as well as substantive changes.
In its decision of 22 August 2011 the Federal Supreme Court confirmed the barriers for an association lodging an appeal in the interest of its members.
