American Law Institute: International Trust & Estate Planning

The 33rd Annual Advanced Course on International Trust and Estate Planning organized by the American Law Institute will take place on 9-10 November 2017 at the San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.

Mark Barmes will participate to this event as a Faculty Member. He will be speaking on "European Developments " (9 November, at 11.50) and participate to the roundtable on "FATCA, CRS, and Beneficial Ownership Information Exchange " (10 November, at 13.45).

The International Trust and Estate Planning course is meant to provide information and practical strategies required for advising both U.S. and international clients. This year’s program explores current issues in foreign trust-related income tax, concerns involving non resident aliens, and detailed guidance for staying vigilant when upholding anti-money laundering rules. The course will also address perennial topics such as the complications encountered in estate planning for U.S. clients with foreign property and the complexities of planning for foreign trusts.
