What are your earliest memories of knowing (or thinking you knew!) what you wanted to pursue as a career?
Some of my earliest memories date back to when I was about seven years old – sitting in my best friend’s garden after a football game, listening intently as his father, an accomplished lawyer, shared captivating stories from the courtroom. I'm convinced that these moments sparked my interest in law.
If you were cooking for friends at a dinner party, what would be your ‘signature dish’ – and why?
My signature dish would definitely be homemade bread. I have a passion for baking (or at least trying to bake) different kinds of bread at the weekends. This is much to the dismay of my family who have to put up with flour and dough covering every surface in the kitchen! But honestly, is there anything better than the smell (and taste) of fresh bread shared with good company?
If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you be – and why?
This might sound terribly cliché but I would have loved to become a mountain guide for the combination of adventure and teamwork – all in a stunning natural environment. Is this what I also find at the Lenz & Staehelin office? In many ways, absolutely!
If you could take one item with you to a desert island, what would it be?
If I could take just one item with me to a desert island, it would have to be two – namely my running shoes. They're always the first thing I pack in my suitcase, no matter where I’m headed. So I would definitely keep up this tradition!
