Arkema completes the divestment of Febex
On January 3, 2023, Arkema France – a subsidiary of the Arkema group, a French publicly listed group, leader in the field of specialty materials – completed the divestment of Febex to the Belgian group Prayon.
Founded in 1917 in Bex, Switzerland, Febex is a global player in phosphorus derivatives, used primarily in electronics and in the pharmaceuticals industry.
Lenz & Staehelin advised Arkema France in this transaction. The team was led by David Ledermann (Corporate and M&A) and Benoît Merkt (Competition) and included, among others, Benjamin Moret and Valentin Muller (Corporate and M&A) and Flavio Samson (Real Estate). Claire Le Louarn, in-house M&A lawyer, was in charge of the project for the Arkema group's legal department.
