Mepha Group being sold to Cephalon Inc.

On January 31, 2010, Merckle-family owned Mepha Holding AG entered into an agreement with Cephalon Inc. (Nasdaq: CEPH) to sell Mepha AG (and its subsidiaries), a Swiss based branded generics and specialty pharmaceutical group with a market leading position in Switzerland. The transaction is expected to close in the next 2-3 months upon satisfaction of certain closing conditions, including receipt of applicable antitrust approvals.
