Polhem Infra acquires a minority stake in Solör Bioenergy Group

Polhem Infra, a wholly owned investment company of the Swedish State Pension Funds AP1, AP3 and AP4, has acquired a 21.45% stake in Solör Bioenergy Group. The majority of the share was acquired from US financial investors, part of which maintained a minority shareholding in Solör Bioenergy Group after the closing of the transaction, mostly governed by Swiss law. Solör Bioenergy Group is a leading energy company for wood-based district heating, industrial steam, electricity and various biomass products.

Lenz & Staehelin advised the US selling shareholders in this transaction. The team was led by Andreas Rötheli, and included associate Federico Trabaldo Togna (both Corporate and M&A).
