Swiss Competition Commission clears the sale of Ziegler Druck- und Verlags-AG to Tamedia group

The majority owners of Ziegler Druck- und Verlags-AG (ZDV), the publisher of daily newspaper "Der Landbote" and weekly "Winterthurer Stadtanzeiger", agreed to sell 70.5% of ZDV to SIX-listed Tamedia AG who already holds a 20% interest in the company. On 25 November 2013, the Swiss Competition Commission cleared the transaction without remedies. The approval by the Swiss Competition Commission was, among others, a condition for the implementation of the transaction which the parties now prepare.
