Swiss Post announces completion of the acquisition and merger of Early Newspaper Delivery Business and of the sale of a controlling stake in "search.ch" to Tamedia

Swiss Post has announced the successful completion of the acquisition and concurrent merger of the early delivery newspaper business, parts of which were acquired from the leading media groups NZZ and Tamedia. The deal, initially intended as a joint venture with NZZ and Tamedia, was restructured as a straight acquisition by Swiss Post of the early newspaper distribution businesses previously owned by NZZ and Tamedia the deal's clearance by the Swiss Competition Commission under the condition that the merged entity is owned and controlled solely by Swiss Post. The concurred sale of a controlling stake of Swiss Post in "search.ch" to Tamedia was cleared by the Swiss Competition Commission without conditions.
