Vaudoise completes acquisition of Swiss fund manager

Vaudoise Assurances Holding SA has closed, on 1 July 2017, the acquisition of Berninvest AG and Dr. Meyer Asset Management AG, having both their corporate seat in Bern, from their current shareholders, after having obtained regulatory approval.

Berninvest manages the real estate funds “Immo Helvetic” and “Good Building” with total assets under management of more than CHF 1,4 billion. Immo Helvetic is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and has an annual performance of more than 8% since 2010. The acquisition will allow Vaudoise to diversify its business strategy as it will be able to provide asset management services to third-parties.

Dr. Meyer Asset Management AG will be renamed Vaudoise Investment Solutions SA.

Lenz & Staehelin advised Vaudoise in this transaction. The team was led by partner Andreas Rötheli (Corporate and M&A) and included associates Roman Graf and Ralph Kaufmann (both Corporate and M&A) and Christelle Conti (Asset Management/Regulatory).
