SpaceX completes USD 75 billion IPO

Lenz & Staehelin advised the underwriters on all Swiss law aspects of the USD 75 billion initial public offering of Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (“SpaceX”).

The SpaceX IPO not only included a public offering in the United States, but also a portion of the shares was offered to retail investors in Australia, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, certain EU countries, and Switzerland on the basis of locally approved or passported prospectuses. SpaceX shares are listed on Nasdaq and Nasdaq Texas under the ticker symbol “SPCX.” The offering closed on 15 June 2026.

In addition to being the largest IPO ever, the SpaceX IPO is also the first U.S. IPO to include concurrent public offerings in multiple jurisdictions around the world, including Switzerland.

The underwriting syndicate was led by Goldman Sachs & Co., Morgan Stanley, BofA Securities, Citigroup, and J.P. Morgan.
