ECTA ®ETREAT ‘UPC - A Success Story?’

On 5 March 2026, the ECTA® E-TREAT ‘UPC – A Success Story?’ will take place in Munich.

Barbara Abegg will moderate the second panel session at 11:25 am. on ‘EQUIVALENCY – National Approaches and Latest UPC Decisions.’ This will provide the opportunity to discuss topics such as the debate on national approaches to equivalency, the analysis of the latest UPC decisions, and whether prosecution history could tip the balance between fair protection and legal certainty, looking ahead to the first guidance from the UPC Court of Appeal.
