Reorganization of the pensions solutions of the AXA group

Lenz & Staehelin has assisted AXA Stiftung Berufliche Vorsorge, Winterthur, a foundation under Swiss law with the object of providing collective pension funds solutions under the Swiss Pension Funds Act, within the context of the reorganization of the AXA Group’s Swiss pensions’ activities into a semi-autonomous pension funds’ structure. Lenz & Staehelin was in particular instructed to defend the interests not only of the foundation but also ultimately those of the insured persons under the existing AXA pensions insurance solutions. The reorganization implies a transfer to AXA Stiftung Berufliche Vorsorge, Winterthur, of assets of more than CHF 20 billion.

The team involved within Lenz & Staehelin included François Rayroux as lead partner, together with counsel Laurence Vogt Scholler and associate Laura Tscherrig (both Banking and Finance, Asset Management), with the support of partner Frédéric Neukomm (Tax).
