CMTA Digital Assets Seminar 2024

Take a deep dive into the most important questions around infrastructure, regulation and standards for digital assets with the Capital Markets and Technology Association (cmta.ch).

Digital securities are no longer just a concept: pilots and proof-of-concepts have progressed to real-world transactions and concrete business cases. What's more, we may soon see the first DLT Trading facility license approval and CMTA's standards and certifications are increasingly becoming important pillars of this new infrastructure for digital securities.

Join the CMTA's 2024 digital assets seminar on June 13 at the unlimitrust campus where experts from the financial, tech and legal sectors will share insights and lessons learnt on the road from proof-of-concept to production.

Topics will include:

1. AML compliance for digital assets (moderated by Fedor Poskriakov): we will present some of the key recommendations from CMTA's updated AML standards for digital assets and discuss challenges in compliance and KYC for DeFi and digital assets
2. Digitalization and financial market infrastructure: panelists will discuss the emerging infrastructure for digital assets including the DLT trading facility and the significance of such new platforms
3. Digitalization of debt instruments - aligning technology and legal requirements (moderated by Jacques Iffland): this panel will discuss the potential of digital bonds and structured products, and also some of the challenges, such as the need for an integrated approach between the functions of the smart contract and the terms of the instruments
