Veeam Software to be acquired by Insight Partners
On January 9, 2020, Insight Partners, the US-based PE group, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Switzerland-based cloud data management company Veeam Software, in a transaction valued at USD 5bn. Veeam Software, the leader in Backup solutions that deliver Cloud Data ManagementTM, will become a U.S. company, with a U.S.-based leadership team, while continuing its global expansion from offices in 30 countries and with customers in over 160 countries. The acquisition is expected to close during the first quarter of 2020.
