Swisscom wins abuse of dominance case against Sunrise

In its judgment of September 24, 2025, the Federal Supreme Court confirms that Sunrise (formerly UPC) abused its market dominance by refusing to supply Swisscom with live ice hockey content. The Court confirms a fine in the amount of CHF 29.1 million against Sunrise.

The Swiss Competition Commission had opened an investigation against Sunrise in 2017 after a complaint by Swisscom.
